Product information
Klippan's new i-Size base is designed and approved for use together with the Klippan CarGO seat.
When designing the base, we wanted to make a product that is easy to use, safe and can be folded into a small space. This has been achieved with adjustable Isofix connectors, a foldable rebound bar and a foldable support leg. Each installation point of the base has its own indicators, so you can be sure of the correct installation.
A common problem with cars Isofix mounts is the different depths of the hooks. This has also been taken into notice in the new base with sliding 8-step Isofix rails. No matter how deep or how up the Isofix hooks are in the car, you always get the base firmly installed in the car.
The Isofix release part of the base is two-stepped, so the base cannot be accidentally detached from the fasteners.
The foldable rebound-bar of the base has four locking positions. This guarantees that the base is suitable for many different car seats and you always get the base firmly attached. The installation is also helped by a separate spacer (accessory) that can be installed between the safety bar and the car seat. The support leg is also stepped and adjustable to 17 different positions so that it can be firmly installed on the car floor.
All installation parts have indicators to ensure safe installation.
Klippan's i-Size base has built in two-position tilt system, which allows you to reach an additional angle of approx. 9 degrees for the seat. The recline can be adjusted when the child and the seat are attached to the base.
To ensure the child-seat cannot be installed incorrectly in the base, the front tube of the child-seat must always be installed in place before the seat can be locken in the base. This ensures a safe installation.
We are particularly satisfied with the structure of the base itself under the plastic shell. From the beginning, we have tried to reduce the use of welding seams, and most of the attachments are done with punched parts and mechanical fastening parts. In this way, we reduce the risk of cold welding and achieve a more durable end result.
